Atados is part of José Manuel Fors’s ongoing investigation into memory, personal archives, and the materiality of time. In these works, the artist gathers found objects, papers, documents, photographs, textiles, and domestic fragments, which he physically groups together using knots, ropes, or bindings. Each piece functions as a small compressed archive: a cluster of stories that are safeguarded, concealed, and simultaneously preserved.
